First few weeks after moving to Iceland I’ve travelled quite a lot and at least half of the days there was a looming presence Snæfellsjökull glacier somewhere on the horizon. Actually, it’s even visible from Reykjavík on a fine day (though no photos of that here).

By the way, Under the Glacier is a great book.
